Churches Offer Prayers for Peace

Sunday, October 5, 2014-Members of several faith-based organizations collaborated to host the "Breaking the Chains of Violence" community peace gathering at Chester Park on Sunday. Presented with support from Delaware County Council, its Chairman Thomas McGarrigle, Delco District Attorney Jack Whelan and Mayor John Linder, the Ministerial Fellowship of Chester and Vicinity organized the event to bring people together from different backgrounds for an afternoon of prayer, preaching, praise and worship.
